Topo Trails

An offline trail navigation app that encourages novices to explore the outdoors through a clean and easy-to-understand interface, while allowing more experienced users the freedom to tailor their experience to their own needs.
Topo Trails offers an easy-to-understand trail-finding process. Users browse the map for trailheads, click on trails they want to learn more about, and scroll through the previews to learn all about the trail. When the user finds the right trail, they can download, get directions to the trailhead, and/or start navigation directly from the trail preview.
Once the user has arrived at the trailhead, accessing downloaded trails is simple. Open the saved tab, and the map will open to the user’s location with saved trails shown on screen. Open the desired trail and hit start.
While navigation is on, Topo Trails displays a live activity on the home screen, allowing users to navigate at a glance while on the trail. Clicking on the map in the activity will launch the full application, providing access to more information. Advanced users can also open the settings menu to adjust the map orientation, polling rates, and live activity information.
